Bitcoin Holds Above US$77,000 Amid Strong Institutional Buying
Bitcoin has retained its gains after a strong weekly rally that pushed it above US$79,000, and institutional buying is seen as a key driver behind the move.
The cryptocurrency was trading at around US$77,180 early on Monday, down about 0.6% from its Friday peak of almost US$79,500.
Bitcoin ETFs saw their largest weekly inflow of 2026 with net inflows of US$1.9 billion, while ether products attracted US$697.2 million in the same period.
The increased institutional demand and improving liquidity conditions have contributed to a broader rally across digital assets, with altcoins such as XRP gaining almost 40% over the week.
