Bitcoin Holds Ground at $78,000 as Gold Prices Test Support
Bitcoin has stabilized around $78,000 as investors await the next move. Gold prices have declined and are testing the $4,400 support level, raising concerns about a potential bearish flip in its technical structure.
The recent surge in Bitcoin's price was fueled by steady inflows into US-listed spot Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs), which totaled $924 million through Friday. This influx of capital has boosted sentiment in the broader cryptocurrency market, with the Fear & Greed Index holding at 62 on Monday.
However, the renewed tensions between the United States and Iran have sparked concerns about global economic stability, leading to a decline in gold prices. The US Central Command announced strikes targeting Iranian rocket launchers on Larak Island, while the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claimed responsibility for strikes targeting US military installations in Jordan and the UAE.
From a technical perspective, Bitcoin's price remains above its main Exponential Moving Averages (EMAs), indicating a firmly supported uptrend. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) hovers just under the overbought threshold near 70, hinting at strong but stretched buying pressure.
