Bitcoin (BTC) prices are struggling to hold above $78K as tensions in the Middle East escalate and oil prices soar.

The price of BTC briefly dropped to $77,600 on Tuesday but quickly recovered to above $78,000. This followed reports of military actions targeting Iranian oil infrastructure and retaliatory strikes by Houthi forces against Saudi facilities.

Market analyst Rekt Capital highlighted the significance of a weekly candle close below $78,300, warning that it could signal a breakdown pattern reminiscent of May's decline.

Cryptocurrency analyst Ted Pillows suggested that a weekly close above $83,000 could pave the way for BTC to reach $100,000 by year-end, citing the formation of a daily golden cross pattern.
