Bitcoin Holds Steady Amid Altcoin Gains

Bitcoin (BTC) experienced a mixed trading day on September 30, as it hovered between $83,000 and $85,000. The cryptocurrency rebounded after falling to $82,850 and was trading nearly $1,000 higher.

The lower end of its recent range has been tested repeatedly, including a couple of dips to $82,400. BTC had climbed from $80,000 to above $87,000 in less than 12 hours last week, reaching an eight-month high before retreating to $83,000.

Several altcoins posted double-digit gains, with QNT rising 13% to about $290, PUMP gaining 15% to nearly $0.006, and NIGHT advancing more than 17.5% to $0.035.
