Bitcoin Holds Steady Amid Escalating Trade War Fears
The ongoing Greenland dispute between the United States and European nations has sparked concerns about another trade war, but Bitcoin remains steady at around $95,000.
The proposed tariffs by President Donald Trump targeting seven European countries - Denmark, Sweden, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and Finland - are set to take effect on February 1. The initial rate of 10% will increase to 25% if no deal is reached by June 1.
The European Union has scheduled an emergency meeting in response to the threats, while U.S. Democrats plan to introduce legislation to block the proposed tariffs.
