Bitcoin Holds Steady at $77,000 Amidst Interest Rate Uncertainty
Bitcoin consolidated around $77,000 on Thursday as investors weighed improving global risk sentiment against persistent uncertainty over US interest rates.
The cryptocurrency was trading at $77,863, a 1.08% increase in the past 24 hours.
Ethereum followed suit, rising by 0.14% to trade at $2,404. Among major altcoins, BNB, XRP, Solana, Tron, Hyperliquid, Dogecoin, and Cardano gained up to 6.50% in the same time period.
Vikram Subburaj, CEO of Giottus, noted that the market remains in consolidation and the latest on-chain picture is mixed.
Subburaj pointed out that Bitcoin's August rally stalled below substantial long-term-holder supply between $83,000 and $86,000. He added that attention now turns to Friday's US employment report, where economists expect around 56,000 new jobs with unemployment at 4.1%.
