Bitcoin Holds Steady Near $84,000 Amid $1.7 Billion Open Interest Drop

Bitcoin's price held steady near $84,000 on Friday as open interest across four major exchanges fell by approximately $1.7 billion.

The decline in combined Bitcoin open interest, which counts outstanding long and short derivative positions, was a 14.3% drop from about $12 billion on September 22 to around $10.3 billion on September 25.

This reduction included drops of about $710 million on Gate.io and $680 million on Binance over the same period.

BTC fell by around 2.3% during this time, slipping from approximately $86,000 to $84,000.
