Bitcoin Investors Cash Out $110K in Profits as Price Correction Looms
Bitcoin investors have been cashing out their profits at an alarming rate since the August rally, selling off approximately 110,000 BTC in just a few weeks. This trend has historically preceded significant price corrections for the cryptocurrency.
The explosive run that began on August 19, when prices were under $65,000, drove Bitcoin to nearly $80,000 in just two days. On August 21, holders realized net profits of 23,000 BTC, marking the largest single-day profit realization this year.
While the asset initially dipped after such a massive jump, it rebounded and even reached above $82,000 before being rejected following the US jobs report. However, analysts warn that if investors continue to realize their profits at this rate, the price could be primed for another correction.
