Bitcoin Investors Flock to Onramp and IBIT Amid Swan Bitcoin Exodus
Investors are increasingly shifting away from Swan Bitcoin towards Onramp and IBIT due to higher fees and single-custodian architecture. Swan Bitcoin charges a 0.99% transaction fee on purchases after the first $10,000, which can be prohibitive for larger holders.
Onramp, on the other hand, uses a multi-institution custody model where three independent institutions each hold one key, eliminating single-custodian risk as holdings grow. Onramp also charges lower trading fees of 0.85% on Finance and 0.65% on Core accounts.
IBIT, in particular, stands out with its 0.25% expense ratio and 98.49% cumulative total return since inception, making it an attractive option for those seeking long-term accumulation. IBIT held 756,177 BTC worth $51.17 billion as of February 20, 2026.
