Bitcoin Long-Term Holder Inflows Plummet Below Annual Average
Long-term holder exchange inflows for Bitcoin (BTC) have fallen below their annual average. This indicates that older Bitcoin holders are showing less aggressive behavior than during earlier stages of the market cycle.
The annual average daily exchange inflows rose from about 600 BTC to roughly 1,000 BTC as the bear market began. However, current activity is below this level. The shift in long-term holder behavior coincides with increased realized losses among investors who bought at higher market levels.
Long-term holders were most active during the bull market around the March 2024 market top, when their average daily exchange inflows exceeded the annual average by more than five times. Activity was quieter around the 2025 market top, then increased as the bear market began.
