Bitcoin Long-Term Holders Flood Exchanges Amid Price Drop
The proportion of Bitcoin long-term holders transferring their holdings to exchanges has reached a high level, according to CryptoQuant analyst Darkfost. On July 28, BlockBeats reported that these holders now account for 5.1% of the total Bitcoin inflows to exchanges.
This is close to the historical record set in 2020, when it approached 5.5%. This change occurred after a significant drop in the price of Bitcoin.
The indicator used by Darkfost is based on a 90-day moving average, which means that it lags behind the latest market dynamics and will not immediately reflect the current situation.
As a result, this trend is likely to gradually stabilize. However, according to current data, long-term holders have been significantly more active in trading recently.
