Bitcoin's momentum has been interrupted after reaching $67,000 at the beginning of the week. The cryptocurrency fell back to near $64,000, while major altcoins also posted losses on Friday.

The move came after a recovery seen in recent days, with Bitcoin reaching $63,950 on Monday before gaining strength and hitting $67,000 on Tuesday night.

The rise was attributed to the resumption of net flows into Bitcoin ETFs and new purchases made by large investors, but it was unable to sustain itself for long.
