Bitcoin Market Cap Outpaces Weak US Demand During Recent Recovery
Bitcoin's market capitalization has been closely tracking its recovery despite weak demand in the US spot market. According to data from Bitget, Coinbase Premium remains below zero throughout the recent recovery period, indicating restrained U.S. spot demand even as Bitcoin regained higher levels during July's advance.
The total crypto market capitalization continues to reflect Bitcoin's leadership across multiple market cycles, despite recurring corrections. Bitcoin Market Cap remains closely aligned with Bitcoin's recovery, while Coinbase Premium continues signaling cautious U.S. spot demand despite improving market conditions across recent trading sessions.
Historically, stronger U.S. demand has followed positive premiums, but no certainty regarding future prices was presented by the analyst. The chart comparing Bitcoin's price against Coinbase Premium shows that the premium remained below the neutral line throughout most of the observed period, with a sharp decline in late June and a recovery afterward.
Despite the recovery, buyers gradually regained market control in early July, replacing higher highs with the previous downward trend. However, even during this recovery, Coinbase Premium remained largely negative, confirming stronger American participation.
