Bitcoin Market Conditions Primed for Significant Move Amid Quiet Price Action
Bitcoin's price has been stagnant at around $65,000 for an extended period, giving the impression of a dormant market. However, beneath this surface-level quietness, analysts suggest that market conditions are primed for a significant move.
A report from TradingView highlights that daily spot turnover across 44 exchanges has plummeted to approximately $15 billion per day, a staggering 70% below January's peak. This decline in activity is attributed to the lack of fresh commitments, which are being held back by uncertainty surrounding monetary policy and the potential impact of the CLARITY Act.
Despite the muted participation, the market is exhibiting characteristics of a 'coiled spring,' where even modest flows could trigger an outsized rally or lead to a cascade of liquidations. This is evident from the narrowest daily trading range since January, which has compressed price action and left momentum trades scarce.
