According to Henley & Partners' Crypto Wealth Report 2026, at least 92,272 people hold over $1 million in Bitcoin. This estimate is based on data from August 31, 2026, when BTC was around 38% below its record high of October 2025.

The total number of digital asset millionaires is estimated to be 135,694, with nearly 68% of this group owning Bitcoin. The report also lists 290 centi-millionaires and 23 billionaires in the crypto space.

Henley & Partners uses a complex methodology to estimate the number of Bitcoin millionaires, taking into account addresses assigned to exchanges, lost Bitcoins, and duplicates related to the same owner. They arrive at an estimated 61,272 direct holders and then add millionaire investors exposed only through ETFs to reach the total of 92,272.

The numbers quickly shrink as you go up the pyramid, with 151 Bitcoin fortunes exceeding $100 million and nine billionaires holding their wealth solely in BTC.
