Bitcoin miners are facing a significant shift in their revenue streams, as the last Bitcoin is expected to be mined around 2140. This means that after this date, miners will only earn transaction fees, as the protocol was designed.
The current Bitcoin price is $84,830.3, which is within the Bollinger Bands. The upper resistance is at $86,204.08, and the price is holding above the EMA50 support at $84,200.02 and EMA200 at $80,867.25.
However, the MACD registers a death cross at 206.22, indicating a potential near-term consolidation toward the lower band support at $83,178.24 before any continuation higher.
