Bitcoin Mining Criticism Shifts Focus to AI and IRGC

Pierre Rochard, CEO of The Bitcoin Bond Company, believes that criticism of bitcoin mining has inadvertently shifted the focus from environmental concerns to more complex issues. According to him, this shift led journalists and activists to redirect their attention from bitcoin mining to criticizing artificial intelligence (AI) and defending the IRGC.

Rochard's observation suggests that the initial critique of bitcoin mining sparked a broader debate about carbon emissions and global warming. This, in turn, caused some individuals to change their focus and start questioning AI, which they perceive as a significant contributor to greenhouse gas emissions.

It is worth noting that Rochard has previously proposed that widespread $20 purchases of Bitcoin could help maintain its price above $80,000. He also pointed out that bitcoin treasury firms may trade at discounts if they lack smart leverage strategies.
