Bitcoin Must Grow 78.6% Annually Until 2030 to Reach $16 Trillion Market Value
ARK Invest's latest report has shed light on the firm's base-case scenario for Bitcoin's growth by 2030. According to their model, Bitcoin needs to advance at a rate of 78.6% per year until 2030 to reach a market value of around $16 trillion. This would be a significant increase from its current market capitalization of approximately $1.263 trillion.
The majority of this growth is attributed to two key drivers: institutional investment and the use of Bitcoin as digital gold. Together, these factors are projected to contribute $14.8 trillion, or 92.8%, of the estimated total. However, recent data suggests that there may be some challenges in achieving this growth rate.
The current numbers for spot Bitcoin ETFs in the United States show only $172.8 million in net inflows in July. Meanwhile, corporate sales have been significant, with Strategy reporting the sale of 3,588 BTC for $216 million between June 29 and July 5.
