Bitcoin MVRV-Z Score Avoids Negative Value in 2026 Bear Market
The recent Bitcoin bear market has been unlike any prior cycle, according to new analysis. The MVRV-Z Score reached a low of just 0.18 in 2026, avoiding a negative value that occurred in previous cycles.
Comparing this to past downturns, the current score is significantly higher than those seen in 2015 and 2022, which both turned negative at around -0.3.
Looking at technical indicators, Bitcoin currently holds above the EMA50 at $76,883.44 inside the Bollinger Bands while the MACD death cross at 3.58 and neutral RSI of 44.22 point to a probable retracement toward that 50-EMA support before any fresh leg higher.
This structure is being factored into updated price prediction models and ongoing crypto market analysis for the current cycle bottom.
