Bitcoin Network Activity Hits One-Year High Amid Mixed Market Signals

Bitcoin's network activity has hit its highest point in a year, with a surge in new wallet creations and active users.

According to Santiment, on-chain analytics platform, there were 2.27 million new Bitcoin wallets created over the past week, which is the highest figure in the last year.

This explosion in network activity is largely attributed to a recent security issue involving Coldcard wallets, a hardware wallet designed for secure offline Bitcoin storage.

Santiment analyzed that growing security concerns amid the confusion surrounding the wallet prompted users to move funds and create a large number of new wallets.

As a result, market participants are closely monitoring on-chain data and price movements, searching for direction amid mixed signals.

The simultaneous occurrence of increased network usage and accumulation by large investors has historically been a positive catalyst for Bitcoin's price in the subsequent weeks and months.
