Bitcoin Network Activity Slows as Active Addresses Plummet
The Bitcoin network has been experiencing some warning signs as its activity slows down. According to an analysis by Yonsei_dent, a crypto analyst on CryptoQuant, the decline in active addresses is a key indicator of investor sentiment on the blockchain.
Active Addresses (AA) have been steadily declining since the last quarter of 2024, and this trend suggests a potential weakening in investor engagement. This decline is further exacerbated by the appearance of a 'death cross,' a bearish signal in technical analysis, marked by the 30-day moving average crossing below the 365-day moving average.
The Transaction Count has also been showing a downward trend since Q4 2024, attributed to global macroeconomic uncertainties and increased risk aversion. This decreased network activity does not favor Bitcoin's price behavior, as historically lower transaction volumes have aligned with extended periods of price stagnation or corrections.
