Bitcoin Nudges Towards $85K as QNT Surges 75% on Clearing House Deal
The cryptocurrency market has been relatively calm over the weekend, but Bitcoin is slowly making its way back up to $85,000. After a brief dip to $83,000 on Friday, BTC rebounded and remained steady at around $84,000 on Saturday.
However, it's not all quiet on the altcoin front. QNT has been leading the charge with a staggering 75% surge, reaching prices above $190 before being stopped at $160. This impressive gain is likely due to The Clearing House selecting Quant to power its On-Chain Money Initiative.
Other altcoins have also seen double-digit gains, including BTW, WLD, GRAM, and RAY, with ZEC soaring by over 8% daily and now sitting above $1,650. NEAR has reclaimed the $5 level after a 5.4% daily jump, while SOL is close to $125 following a 3% increase.
The total crypto market cap has increased slightly to $2.910 trillion on CMC, with BTC's dominance remaining at 58.6%.
