Bitcoin on Pace to Hit $300,000 by 2030, Says Coinbase CEO

Coinbase Global CEO Brian Armstrong believes Bitcoin could hit $300,000 by 2030. To reach this target, Bitcoin would need to maintain its upward momentum and grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 31.6%.

Armstrong's prediction may seem aggressive, but it is not entirely out of the question. From August 2017 to July 2026, Bitcoin has grown at a CAGR of 33.6%, despite experiencing several epic collapses along the way, including a 73% loss in value in 2018 and a 64% loss in value in 2022.

However, Bitcoin's growth trajectory has never been straight up, and it has had to rebound from significant reversals over the years. To achieve the $300,000 target, Armstrong believes that the passage of the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act will be a major catalyst.
