South Korea's cryptocurrency market has seen a rebound in trading activity, with Upbit leading the pack by recording over US$1.04 billion in spot volume over the past 24 hours.

This figure surpasses the combined total of Bithumb, Coinone, and Korbit, which came in at around US$632.6 million, US$67.9 million, and almost US$11 million respectively.

The recent rise of Bitcoin to above US$80,000 has contributed to this resurgence in market trading appetite, with South Korean traders returning to local exchanges after a period of reduced activity.
