Bitcoin Perpetual Futures Traders Tilt Slightly Bearish
The latest long/short ratios from major crypto derivatives exchanges suggest that Bitcoin perpetual futures traders are positioned slightly bearish. According to data from Binance, Bybit, and OKX, 48.5% of open positions are long, while 51.5% are short.
The breakdown across the three platforms shows a consistent pattern: Binance has 48.22% long and 51.78% short, Bybit has 48.28% long and 51.72% short, and OKX has 48.64% long and 51.36% short.
This bearish tilt among derivatives traders could potentially lead to a short squeeze if the price moves upward, forcing short sellers to cover their positions.
