Bitcoin Plunges with Gold and Silver in Synchronized Three-Hour Sell-Off
On September 28th, Bitcoin experienced a decline of 2.7% to an intraday low of $82,780, mirroring the sharp three-hour selloff in gold and silver.
The precious metals saw significant losses, with gold futures falling by 2.11% to $4,197.40 per ounce and silver declining by 3.59% to $62.47.
The combined market-value loss for the two metals was estimated at over $550 billion, including around $470 billion from gold and $101 billion from silver.
Bitcoin later rebounded above $83,000, but this synchronized decline raised questions about its traditional role as a digital-gold refuge during times of market stress.
