Bitcoin's price surged by $14,775 in just one week, reaching an all-time record for the largest weekly dollar gain. The price jumped from $62,818 to $77,593, representing a 23.5% increase, its strongest percentage gain since March 2023.

The rally has also triggered a massive short squeeze, with crypto traders losing around $2.7 billion in liquidated short positions. This surge in demand has driven US spot Bitcoin ETF inflows to their highest level since October 2025, according to Galaxy Research.

The Treasury's decision to double long-bond buyback operations and President Trump's call for the passage of the CLARITY Act have been cited as key factors contributing to the price increase. The bill aims to create federal rules for deciding whether digital assets fall under securities or commodities law.
