Bitcoin Posts Strongest Quarterly Gain Since Q1 2024
Bitcoin closed its third quarter with a gain of 44%, marking its strongest quarterly performance since Q1 2024. The asset's price increased by approximately $26,000 in just three months, rising from around $58,500 to $86,000.
The third quarter also delivered the highest returns for Bitcoin's third quarter since 2017, with an average return of 8% to 9%. This year's result was roughly five times that typical pace. Each month in the quarter saw positive gains for Bitcoin.
Bitcoin's rally looks even more impressive when compared to traditional assets. Gold gained around 8.7% over the same period, while major US stock indices rose by about 2%.
