Bitcoin Price Action Hints at Potential Bullish Flag Formation
The Clarity Act disappointment may have had a significant impact on Bitcoin's price, but recent market action suggests that buyers are pushing back near an important support area.
According to Itai Levitan, Bitcoin futures fell from their September 14 high of $79,740 to the September 15 low of $74,925, briefly dipping below $75,000. However, instead of consolidating at this level, buyers are attempting to regain control.
The four-hour chart shows a potential bullish flag forming, which could eventually resolve higher and indicate a broader recovery for Bitcoin. This is an interpretation rather than a confirmed breakout, but it's an encouraging sign for bulls.
Levitan notes that the next key levels to watch are $75,400-$75,600, where price has traded on both sides of this area, making it contested support. Holding above this level would keep the rebound attempt alive, while a renewed four-hour close below it would weaken the recovery and put the $74,925 low back in focus.
The Federal Reserve's decision is also looming large, and Levitan notes that it could either reinforce the recovery or expose its weakness. For now, traders should be cautious and consider taking partial profits near support, especially if they're already short.
