Bitcoin Price Bounces but Fails to Clear Key Resistance Zone
Bitcoin's price rebounded from its recent low of $74,913-$74,962 but remains vulnerable to further decline. The cryptocurrency is currently trading between $76,875 and $77,083 per coin on September 17. While the daily chart shows a broader recovery structure with some life, short-term charts continue to flash caution.
The 1-hour chart shows that Bitcoin's price rebounded from around $74,962 to as high as $76,701, but the recovery has started running out of steam in the $77,000-$77,200 area. The latest candles show sellers pushing the price back toward roughly $76,160, while volume remains relatively light.
The daily chart's oscillator tape is evenly split, with two negative, seven neutral, and two positive readings. The moving averages (MAs) paint a cleaner picture: short-term pressure, longer-term support. The 50-, 100-, and 200-period MAs are positive, indicating that the market still has some life.
A clean break above $76,700-$77,000 could put $77,500-$78,000 back in play and give buyers a stronger foothold. However, losing the $75,000 area, especially on a daily close, could reopen the door toward $74,000-$73,000.
