Bitcoin Price Dips Amid US-Iran Tensions, but Dogecoin Surges
Cryptocurrency markets traded in the red on Monday, mirroring the decline of stocks as tensions between the US and Iran persisted.
The price of Bitcoin plummeted towards $63,000 due to intense selling pressure, with a 24-hour trading volume surge of 56%. Ethereum's trading volume jumped 70%, causing its price to slip below $1,900. The cryptocurrency market capitalization fell by 1.35% over the last 24 hours, reaching $2.18 trillion.
In contrast, Dogecoin gained traction during this period. Analysts attribute the dip in cryptocurrency prices to uncertainty surrounding Iran negotiations and the subsequent risk aversion.
