Bitcoin's price declined by 1.28% in one hour to $84,072 at 8:17 a.m. ET (12:17 UTC) on September 25.

The drop was accompanied by significant long-position liquidations, reaching $4.18 million across Binance, Bybit, and OKX during the same period.

Despite the hourly decline, Bitcoin's price remained up 0.59% from 24 hours earlier.

Long liquidations occur when leveraged bets on higher prices are forcibly closed after the market moves lower, resulting in losses for traders who took out such positions.
