Bitcoin Price Drops 1.8% Amid Escalating US-Iran Tensions
The Bitcoin price dipped to around $83,050 on Monday afternoon in Asia, down 1.8% over 24 hours due to geopolitical tensions.
The decrease came after US President Trump rejected Iran's seven-day ceasefire proposal, which would have lifted sanctions and frozen assets in exchange for a regional truce.
Brent crude prices remained near $104 a barrel, keeping inflation risk on the table alongside military concerns.
Other cryptocurrencies like Ethereum, XRP, and Solana also fell in sympathy with Bitcoin, while the total crypto market capitalization dropped 1.2% to approximately $2.86 trillion.
