Bitcoin Price Drops Towards $78K Amid Whale Gains and Strong US Jobs Report
Bitcoin's price dropped towards $78,200 after another rejection near $80,000, leaving it about 4% below last week's three-month high of $82,500. This decline coincided with XRP breaking its support level and slipping below $1.40.
Avalanche surpassed a major threshold by reaching 102,408,337 cumulative unique addresses on September 6, triggering the beginning of a new phase for the network. The C-Chain added 707,000 addresses to this total.
The strong US jobs report showed employers added 162,000 positions in August, nearly three times consensus expectations of roughly 55,000. This led to Bitcoin falling sharply on September 4 and halting its push towards $81,309.
