Bitcoin Price Forecast Reaches $150K by 2027 Amid Regulatory Clarity

Bitcoin's recent downturn is over, according to CK Zheng, former global head of valuation risk at Credit Suisse. Zheng now co-founder and CIO of ZX Squared Capital, believes that regulatory clarity will bring institutions into the market, triggering a new bull run. The industry has matured since the previous bear market cycle, with institutional adoption driving growth.

Zheng points to the passing of the CLARITY Act as a catalyst for increased institutional investment in Bitcoin. He expects U.S. debt to rise at an unprecedented pace in 2027, leading to dollar debasement risk that institutions will need to hedge by investing in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. Zheng predicts that scarcity and adoption will drive prices higher as institutional FOMO takes hold.

Bitcoin currently trades around $78,535, but Zheng is optimistic about the future, targeting a price of $150,000 by late 2027. He believes that the four-year cycle remains structurally in place, with a new bull market expected to begin late this year or early next.
