Bitcoin Price Hits Roadblock at $82,000 Resistance Zone
Bitcoin's price has been hovering around $80,443 after a failed attempt to break through the $82,000 resistance zone. The cryptocurrency rebounded significantly from its low of $74,913 on September 16, but was unable to sustain momentum.
The daily chart shows that 13 out of 15 moving averages remain positive, indicating an overall uptrend. However, oscillators suggest a market pause rather than reversal, with the RSI at 61 and MACD reading negative.
Separate from price charts, CFTC data showed leveraged funds cutting their net-short position in Bitcoin futures by 7,275 BTC-equivalent. Meanwhile, asset managers reduced their net-long positions by 4,733 BTC-equivalent.
