Bitcoin Price Holds Above $84k as Institutional Demand Surges
Bitcoin (BTC) has maintained its gains above $84,000 on Friday, despite some profit-taking activity. The cryptocurrency's price surge can be attributed to institutional demand, with spot exchange-traded funds (ETFs) recording their strongest weekly inflows since October 2025, totaling $2.25 billion through Thursday.
The latest rally has pushed Bitcoin past a long-term technical hurdle, but traders should remain cautious as profit-taking activity has reached its highest level in a year. The increased buying pressure from institutional investors is expected to continue supporting the cryptocurrency's price.
On the corporate front, Strategy, led by Michael Saylor, added around 950 Bitcoin on Monday, bringing its total holdings to 846,000 Bitcoin. This signals renewed focus by Strategy on accumulating Bitcoin, supporting the bullish outlook for the cryptocurrency.
