Bitcoin Price Jumps 1.15% as Russian Companies Report Q2 Earnings
The cryptocurrency market saw some movement on August 31 as the Bitcoin exchange rate on Binance increased by 1.15%. Meanwhile, several Russian companies reported their financial results for the first half of the year under IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).
Rosneft's net profit decreased by 18.4% in the first half of the year, while Gazprom's IFRS profit fell by 12%. On the other hand, Gazprom Neft saw a significant increase in its net profit under IFRS, rising by 73.7%. Promomed's net profit also increased by 83%.
Several companies reported losses, including Mechel, which had a loss of 41.47 billion rubles under IFRS for the first half of the year. Magnit and Lambumiz also saw significant losses. Arenadata's net loss was 347 million rubles, while EL5-Energy's net profit fell by 48.2%. Novotrans' profit fell to 6 million rubles.
