Bitcoin Price Jumps 7% in July as Market Volatility Continues
Bitcoin's price has rebounded in July, pacing for a 7% gain after staging a tentative recovery. The largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization has been trading between $60,000 and $65,000 US, but analysts say it needs to rise above the latter resistance level for a meaningful recovery to take hold.
The price of BTC had fallen as low as $58,000 US at the end of June, marking its lowest level this year. However, Bitcoin managed to break above resistance at $65,000 US in mid-July but was pulled lower due to volatile trading in equity markets.
Despite the July recovery, Bitcoin remains down 27% on the year after starting 2026 at $96,150 US. Analysts point to weak institutional demand, volatile technology stocks, and uncertainty surrounding the Clarity Act legislation as issues holding back cryptocurrencies.
