Bitcoin Price Pauses at $80,000 as Momentum Slows

Bitcoin's recent surge above $82,000 has paused, leaving the market in a state of flux. As of September 6, the price is hovering around $80,000, stuck within a narrow zone where buyers and sellers are neutralizing each other.

The price movement since late August has maintained solid technical foundations, with Bitcoin's price remaining above its main daily moving averages. However, the weekend volumes have dropped sharply, limiting the scope of recorded movements.

A break above $80,147 could push the price towards $80,335, then $80,523, while a break below $79,586 would place $78,650 as the next technical target. The immediate battle is focused on a range of a few hundred dollars, with the intraday zone extending from $79,586 to $80,147.

The daily trend retains several supports, with the price remaining above its 10- and 20-day moving averages. However, the reduced volume limits the interpretation of this short-term analysis. The momentum indicators remain less favorable, showing a slowdown in progress since the recent peak.
