Bitcoin Price Plunges Below $86,000 Amid BCH and Zcash Gains
Bitcoin's price fell below $86,000 on Wednesday after reaching nearly $87,300. This decline came as Bitcoin Cash and Zcash saw significant gains.
The price of Bitcoin Cash rose by 28% to almost $349, while Zcash gained 9% to surpass $1,646. These moves follow the announcement by CME Group that they plan to list Bitcoin Cash and Uniswap futures on October 19, pending regulatory review.
CME's planned Bitcoin Cash futures would cover 250 BCH, with Micro Bitcoin Cash futures covering 25 BCH. The products are designed to provide tools for managing digital-asset price risk and gaining exposure to the underlying networks.
