Bitcoin Price Predictions: Eight AI Models Differ on Year-End Targets
Bitcoin has been on an upward trajectory in recent months, defying historical trends that typically see prices drop in August and September. According to Coinglass data, BTC's price rose by 24.95% in August and had climbed 7.03% as of Sept. 26. The return of institutional demand, driven in part by exchange-traded fund (ETF) inflows, has also contributed to the surge.
A total of eight leading AI chatbots were asked to predict Bitcoin's year-end price on Dec. 31, 2026, based on current market conditions and historical data. The prompt was deliberately straightforward to minimize bias and allow each model to provide an unbiased forecast.
The models differed in their predictions, with some more bullish than others. Google's Gemini Pro 3.1 predicted a closing price of $96,500, while Kimi AI's Kimi K3 estimated it would reach $96,000 by the end of the year. Meanwhile, xAI's Grok 4.7 and Deepseek's Deepthink were more conservative in their estimates, predicting prices around $115,000 and $112,000, respectively.
Typesafe AI's Jev, a large language model that uses formal verification to establish correctness, was consulted on the predictions. Jev evaluated each forecast using a four-point scale and selected Kimi's $96,000 estimate as the most consistent with the provided information.
