Bitcoin Price Reclaims Key Moving Average as Bull Market Hopes Build

Bitcoin has reclaimed its 50-week moving average near $78,700, a level that has historically signaled the start of a bull market in five out of seven cases. The price has gained 25.8% over the past 90 days and held above $74,000 for 30 consecutive days.

According to crypto analyst Ted, a close above the 50-week moving average is crucial this week, with a stronger case for a cycle bottom forming if it happens. However, he's waiting for a sustained push past $83,000 before declaring a full turnaround. Ash Crypto also wants to see a break above that level.

Despite a Federal Reserve rate hike and delays in regulatory progress, Bitcoin has continued to trade above $80,000. Some analysts warn that buyers may fail to defend key support levels, which could lead to a drop to $60,000 if they fail.

A green September close would mark three consecutive green monthly candles for Bitcoin, a phenomenon that has never occurred during a bear market. Historically, this signal has indicated a shift to a bullish market regime.
