Bitcoin Price Recovery Unaccompanied by Selling Pressure
Bitcoin has experienced a significant price recovery, increasing by 47% since its July low. According to Bitfinex's analysis, this upward trend is not accompanied by a corresponding increase in selling pressure. In fact, the adjusted Spent Output Profit Ratio (SOPR) is currently hovering around 1.01, indicating that coins are changing hands at breakeven rather than at a profit.
This phenomenon suggests a bullish sentiment among investors, which could have a positive impact on future price movements. The absence of selling pressure is particularly notable when compared to the 4% SOPR seen during the August breakout. Such dynamics can significantly influence market stability and potential future price action.
