Bitcoin Price Rises Slightly as Institutional Holders Stay Steady
Bitcoin (BTC) saw a slight uptick on October 6, with its price reaching 85,580.60, a 0.06% increase from the previous day's close. The trading volume over the past 24 hours stood at 1.17 billion, while the turnover was approximately 86,691.65.
Despite the modest rise, Bitcoin failed to sustain higher levels, slipping back below 86,000. This pullback came after the cryptocurrency reached around 86,000 earlier in the week, reflecting a broader slowdown in momentum following a strong third-quarter rally.
Analysts noted that U.S. spot Bitcoin ETF holdings are currently worth about 1.5 times their realized value, yet there has been no significant selling pressure observed. This suggests a cautious but stable holding pattern among institutional investors.
In other news, South Africa's largest financial-services group, First National Bank, announced it will allow its 8.6 million clients to buy Bitcoin through its banking platform. This move highlights the growing integration of cryptocurrencies into traditional financial systems.
