Bitcoin Price Seeks $90,000 as Resistance at $87,400 Looms
Bitcoin's price has rebounded to $85,800 after a rough start to the week, but it still needs to clear $87,400 resistance to reclaim its previous highs. The recovery is attributed to lower oil prices, falling Treasury yields, and renewed ETF demand, as well as a short squeeze that helped push Bitcoin above the old $82,200 resistance level.
The technical picture shows a recovery breakout, but sustained acceptance above $87,400 hasn't been confirmed yet. Immediate support sits at $86,000-$86,300, with a secondary floor at $85,000-$85,300.
Analysts are divided on the future of Bitcoin's price, with some predicting a run to $90,000 if it closes above $87,400, while others see choppy consolidation between $85,000 and $88,000. A decisive break below $85,000 could expose the $82,000-$83,300 demand zone.
