Bitcoin Price Shows Signs of Topping Out Amid Accumulation Period
The Bitcoin price has been stuck in a sideways trend since June, but some analysts believe that this could be an accumulation period coming to an end. A potential bottoming pattern may help the bulls rally the price up to $76K.
In the short-term time frame, the price appears to be topping out at the confluence of a descending channel and a horizontal resistance level of $64,360. Most momentum indicators have reached their top limits, suggesting that the price could start to decline from here.
This would be another lower high in a series of such moves dating back to July 21. If the bull market trendline and the horizontal support at $62,250 don't hold, a plunge down to $60K could occur.
However, some analysts see an inverse head and shoulders pattern forming on the daily chart, which could send the price up to $76K if it completes. The balance of probabilities suggests that a rejection may take place at the top of the channel, but there is still the possibility that the right shoulder could be formed lower down.
