Bitcoin Price Slumps to $62,600 Amid Lack of Catalysts
Bitcoin's price has taken a dip to $62,600 USD on August 14 as analysts struggle to identify catalysts for the cryptocurrency sector. The largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization had risen as high as $64,800 USD over the past week but remains rangebound between $60,000 and $65,000 USD.
The Clarity Act crypto legislation has been put on hold in Washington D.C., leaving few near-term catalysts to spark a rise in Bitcoin's price. Analysts say that breaking above resistance at $65,000 USD will be necessary for a meaningful recovery.
Despite this, there are tentative signs of a recovery in spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs). After experiencing outflows of close to $5 billion USD in June, inflows have hit a four-month high of $850 million USD over the past week.
