Bitcoin Price Stalls as Profit-Taking Hits One-Year High
Bitcoin's price stalled on Tuesday after surging by 6.7% the previous day, trading below $85,500 at the time of writing.
A strong institutional demand continues to support Bitcoin's bullish momentum, with US spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) recording nearly $1 billion in inflows on Monday.
However, a sharp rise in Bitcoin's Network Realized Profit/Loss (NPL) indicator to a one-year high points to increased profit-taking following the latest rally, potentially adding pressure on prices in the near term.
The NPL indicator surged sharply on Monday to its highest level since December 12, 2025, suggesting that Bitcoin holders are selling their holdings at substantial profits.
