Bitcoin Price Stuck Near $80,000 as Bulls Eye $82,700
The Bitcoin price is stuck between nearby resistance and support as it hovers near $77,154. Analyst Michaël van de Poppe sees a strong possibility of the price breaking through to $82,700 if buyers maintain control.
However, the current structure still faces a key test near $80,000. The RSI is currently at 64.46, down from 76.02, creating a potential bearish divergence. A sustained move above $80,000 would weaken that bearish setup and expose the $85,000, $87,500 range.
CryptoQuant's cycle momentum data also suggests a potential reversal in the current downtrend. The indicator shows Bitcoin could be preparing to break its broader downtrend, although price confirmation remains necessary. The large concentration of holders in the $62,000, $65,000 region could create stronger demand if the market experiences a deeper correction.
The 50-day SMA offers another support reference for Bitcoin price. If rejection occurs at the $80,000 level, the price could send Bitcoin toward $75,000.
